As a dentist, I have seen the positive impact my work has had on people’s lives down to the third generation. The one feeling I have with every patient I have worked with in my over 31 years as a practicing dentist, is privilege. I am absolutely honored with the trust placed in my skills and my office.
I became a dentist so that I could help people achieve the benefits that come with having great oral health. There is more to having good oral teeth than simply having “good” teeth. It impacts the body’s overall health and can lead to many long lasting benefits. Many people seem to view dentistry as “fixing the tooth,“ however that is only the beginning.
Good dentistry imparts many mental benefits, most notably a strong sense of self-worth and confidence. Your teeth, gums, and jaw are very important parts of your person. Furthermore, I am a strong believer in educating my patients on how to best care for their teeth, especially in the sensitive stage after treatment. When I educate my patients, the return investment they receive is huge and it provides long-term solutions.
Education and professional affiliations
I finished my Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1980 at the University of Michigan. After that I began a journey of continued education that has kept me current with new trends and to have a hand in their development. Professional collaboration has been key. As a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, I have benefited from my work with many other professionals sharing the goal to improve our knowledge and clinical skills as practicing dentists. This has improved my quality and efficiency as a dentist, and I have seen the effects first-hand in my long career.
Be confident that we are the right place
It is a joy to do my job. I enjoy being a dentist and look forward to each day. My team has exceptional chemistry that I feel is rather unique. The great combination of a laid back yet professional attitude sets my office apart. We don’t sweat the small stuff, and always have a good sense of humor. This has a calming effect that I value. We understand that it’s not always easy to enter dental treatment and a certain amount of anxiety comes with the territory. We go to great lengths to ease any fears. Know that we focus our energy primarily on dentistry and providing you high quality care that we take great pride in.
Outside the office
I live in Frankfort, IL with my wife, Miki, of 29 years. We have two daughters (Paige and Blaire), a son-in-law (Kris), and a cat (Wriggley) we “inherited!” from our daughter Blaire. I am a huge fan of health and wellness and enjoy the workout routine I share with my wife. I also partner with my wife as independent Shaklee distributors, a highly reputable health and wellness company. I enjoy cooking, reading, travel, and any fun family related activity.
I am also an active parishoner of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church where I am on the Parish Council and a member of the Pro Life group. I have also served in the community as a volunteer at the Will-Grundy Dental Clinic for almost twenty years and the Donated Dental Services for the past ten. It is great to give back to people in need using my professional skills.
